Nothing over it.
Nothing through it.

A state prison perimeter answers to one standard: nothing gets over it and nothing gets through it. We rebuilt Gus Harrison’s secured line to that standard, at an operating facility, for the Michigan Department of Corrections.

The assignment

A state prison perimeter answers to one standard: nothing gets over it and nothing gets through it. We rebuilt Gus Harrison’s secured line to that standard, at an operating facility, for the Michigan Department of Corrections.

Client: Michigan Department of Corrections • Adrian, MI • 2015 • GC: Beckett & Raeder

The scope

What we built at Gus Harrison.

The perimeter

12 ft galvanized steel chain link detention perimeter with razor ribbon, replacing the existing 16 ft fence and gates we demolished and removed.

Below and around it

Concrete tunneling barrier below grade and brush clearing along the secured line.

The infrastructure

Security lighting poles installed; security camera poles removed and reinstalled around the new line.

The conditions

Every phase executed inside an operating state correctional facility, with the coordination that demands.

What it proves

Detention-grade capability for the country’s most secure sites, executed live.

If your site carries the same requirement, this is the team that has already delivered it.
